Giant Asian Mantids are good beginner species because of how easy they are to take care of. Just like all mantids, they need an enclosure 3 times as tall as the mantis is long and 2 times as wide as the mantis’ width. As an L1-L4 they should be fine living in a 32oz deli cup. A comfortable temperature for these mantids is around 70-80°F. Humidity levels should stay around 40-60%. L1-L4 need a feeding every other day. Feed them until they stop eating; they won’t overeat as nymphs.
